Driven by German industry in the context of the NMMT, the eMaritime Integrated Reference Platform eMIR provides an open modular research and test environment used for scientific analysis of maritime systems, for R&D by providing testbeds for validation and verification, for demonstration and evaluation of new maritime technologies in navigation, organization and surveillance or maritime (transportation) systems. Actually, it includes virtual and physical testbeds provided by OFFIS and DLR. Following a joint interoperability architecture, eMIR provides the basis for the implementation and integration of testbeds as well as project outcomes and to provide a sustainable opportunity to present project outcomes, products and services.
